Annual Publications Contests - Deadlines for Literary Publications is May 15, 2010; deadlines for Newspapers is May 15, 2010; and deadlines for Yearbooks is September 1, 2010 (all postmark dates)
Spring Writing Contest - Deadline is March 5, 2011 (postmark date). Results of the contest are announced in April
Journalism Advisory Committee Board Meeting - held in April each year

*Judges for each contest are chosen by the SDHSPA. All decisions made by judges are FINAL and supported by the SDHSPA.
*ALL CONTEST DUE DATE CHANGES - Entries are due on the due date for each specific contest (with a postmark of the due date). Entries received 1-5 days after due date will receive a $15 late fee charge. Any entry received 5 days after due date will NOT be accepted.
